You’re here to build something meaningful.
You crave depth, nuance, and a community that doesn’t settle for easy answers. WIN was built for that, for leaders who are wired to keep digging until they find the real levers of change.

The World Has A Way Of
Taming People Down
But underneath all that?
You’ve still got instincts:
A wild side that hasn’t gone anywhere, it just needs a way back.

The Untamed Self is your map home.
A way to reconnect with who you really are, before the world told you who to be.

Welcome, traveler.
You’re here for a reason.

We built The Untamed Self for people like you, people who hear the call of the wild.
Not just the backcountry adventurers and hard‑core naturalists (though they’ll find plenty here too), but anyone who knows that nature still has lessons for us: about clarity, belonging, resilience, and what it really means to live.
The Rocky Mountain West, my home, it has changed my life in ways I can’t measure.
These peaks and rolling plains are still wild, yet increasingly tamed by agriculture, energy development, recreation, and human expansion.
Like so many wild places, they’re holding on, but just barely.
I believe that to protect these places, we all have to fall in love with them again.
Not just policymakers or nonprofits, every one of us.
When we value wildness in the land, we start to value wildness in ourselves.
This journey is part of that mission: to help you reclaim what is untamed in you and in doing so, remember why wild places matter.

Meet the Rocky Mountain animal that mirrors your instinctive nature, the way you move through the world, approach life, and tackle the hard stuff. Think of it as your inner wilderness, made visible.
Turns out, you’re not out here on your own. Your strengths fit into a living, breathing map of instincts, roles, and relationships. Explore the full ecosystem to bring more clarity to your personal life, your work, your people... all of it.
Life is messy. These bite-sized reflections help you use your archetype (and others) to navigate real-world challenges with more grit, humor, and grounded clarity. Like an internal compass, with fur and claws.
Nature hits different when it feels personal. We bring you true stories, surprising facts, and wild insights that make the natural world feel like a part of your own story.

Quick Insight: Ravens

Total badass geniuses. They mimic voices, play games, use tools and yep, they hold grudges. Studies show they remember and avoid animals (or humans) who crossed them... for years.

You are steady, grounded, and quietly powerful the one people lean on when the chaos hits. You don’t just keep the peace.
You are the peace.
Out on the high prairie, when wolves circle and fear scatters the herd, it’s often one Bison, a mother who turns, stands firm, and says “not today.” The others gather behind her.
That’s you.
At your best: calm, connected, deliberate.
When stressed: you might go silent, check out, or carry more than your share.
Your gift: Unity through presence. Strength without the show.
And here’s the wild truth: when storms sweep the prairie, Bison face into it. Steady. Resilient. That’s your magic.

The Loyalist
You are vigilant, loyal, and deeply connected to your people. You’re the one watching the edge of the ridge while others sleep. The one who holds the group together when things feel shaky.
Like a wolf on patrol: scanning for danger, attuned to every sound — you don’t just react. You sense. You guard. You lead with quiet courage.

At your best: protective, brave, collaborative.
When stressed: you may second-guess everything, overthink the worst-case scenario, or lose trust in your own gut.
Your gift: Steady leadership through uncertainty. Loyalty that roots others in safety.
And the wild truth? You don’t need to be loud to be strong. You don’t need to go it alone. The pack is your power.
The Untamed Self is a personality quiz that connects you to a Rocky Mountain animal that mirrors the way you deal with stress, people, and problems. Think of it as meeting your wild side, the part of you that shows up whether you want it to or not.
To give you a way to navigate the stuff you keep bumping into: why you lose it with your kids, clam up with your partner, or butt heads with your boss. Instead of guessing, you’ll have a clear picture of what’s really driving you and those around you.
Most of our frustration comes from not understanding ourselves or the people around us. Once you know your animal, you’ll see your stress patterns sooner, explain yourself better, and stop being surprised by how you react. And the best part? You can pull this tool out again and again, in tough meetings, in the middle of a fight at home, or when you’re making a big decision.
You keep falling into the same ruts: snapping under pressure, saying yes when you’re overloaded, feeling misunderstood by coworkers or the people closest to you. Relationships feel harder than they should, and you don’t have words for why.
If nature is already an inspiration and a grounding force in your life, your Wild Within archetype is a way to align with that same energy inside you. Suddenly the patterns make sense. You see your blind spots, your strengths, and you finally have a simple way to say, “this is just how I’m wired.”
You don’t just learn this once and move on, you start using it. In arguments, during stressful weeks at work, in conversations that matter. Instead of spinning in confusion, you’ve got a trail map you can keep checking as you go and even share with others as a common language for navigating life together.

it’s a bridge back to the natural world.
